Sad, sad day for the world. American Bandstand’s Dick Clark has died. Tears streamed down my face when I heard the news. Odd, since I didn’t know him personally .. but I do feel I “know” him because of the many years he was in my living room. He has been a large part of the reason I love music so much. I have danced “with” him, sang to him and enjoyed every word he’s ever spoken “to” me.
American Bandstand will never be the same, nor will New Year’s Eve. He was timeless and will remain forever in our hearts. You’ll always be a teenager in my book, Dick!
The end of an era. My heart & prayers go out to his family, friends and everyone who’s life he touched!
An Exercise:
An exercise: Look to your right … write 4 lines of song lyrics, describing the object & what you like about it.
Warmth comes as you exhale
I try to take every breath in
Isn’t it strange how things end
the very same way they begin
